COVID-19 Effect: Offline Sale Of Tickets For Taj Mahal Halted

NB Bureau

In view of the rising Covid 19 cases, across the country, the Archaeological Survey of India has closed the offline sale of tickets for Taj Mahal. Visitors can now book tickets online for a visit to the monument.

According to the reports, the decision was taken after people thronging to physical ticket counters near the Taj Mahal were seen flouting the Covid 19 protocol.

The reports added that, inside the Taj Mahal, the counter on the jasmine floor under the main dome will be operational to buy an additional ticket of Rs 200.

The Archaeological Survey of India had restarted ticket counters for sale of tickets offline at the Taj Mahal from November 27 last year and other monuments from December 1, 2021, making it easier for people coming from rural India and those who did not have smartphones.
