J&K’s Sopore Law College Organizes Screening Of ‘Article 15’

The Sopore Law College organized a special screening of the Bollywood movie ‘Article 15’ under the chairmanship of Madam Maryam, a distinguished personality in the legal fraternity.
The event, organized on Thursday, was aimed to promote awareness about social justice issues prevalent in our society and foster meaningful discussions among law students and faculty members.
‘Article 15’ is a hard-hitting Indian crime drama, directed by Anubhav Sinha, starring Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead role.
The film delves into the stark realities of caste discrimination and social inequality.
With its powerful narrative and compelling performances, the movie has garnered widespread acclaim and initiated important conversations about the pressing need for societal change.
The screening took place in the seminar Hall of the Sopore Law College, after the introduction by administrative officer Ms. Ulfat of the college and a brief introduction about the film by Mr Maroof and Ms Sauliha.
According to the details, a panel discussion followed the screening in which featuring faculty members and students debated wide range of topics, including the legal framework for combating discrimination, the role of law students in promoting social justice, and the potential impact of cinema on societal change.
