Supreme Court on Thursday comes down heavily on TV channels for amplifying hate speech.
While hearing pleas on hate speech in the Supreme Court, Justice Joseph observed that “Political parties are making capital out of it. TVs are acting as platforms.
“Either Hate Speech takes place in social media or TV’s. As far as mainstream TVs which still hold way, there role of the anchor is very critical,” he said.
“Most of the times, those who want to speak are muted.”
