Kamala Harris Talks About ‘Pakistan’s Role In Terrorism’ In Meeting With PM Modi

US vice president Kamala Harris, during her maiden meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, ‘suo moto’ referred to Pakistan’s role in terrorism, as the two leaders meet for the first time since the India-origin woman Kamala Harris became the Vice President of the United States.

According to the reports, Harris mentioned that there were terror groups working in Pakistan and that she asked Islamabad to take action so the matter does not threaten the security of India and the United States.

“When the issue of terrorism came up, the vice president suo moto referred to Pakistan’s role in that regard (terrorism),” PTI quoted foreign secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla as telling reporters following the key meeting in the White House.

According to the statement issued by India’s Ministry of External Affairs, PM Modi and VP Harris further decided to cement the Indo-US strategic partnership and discussed global issues of common interest, including threats to democracy, the Covid 19 situation, Afghanistan, and the Indo-Pacific.

PM Modi also extended Harris an invitation to visit India soon.

PM Modi who is currently in the United States had a series of meeting on Thursday including bilateral with Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison and top American CEOs.
