Covid 19: Record 2.17 Lakh cases reported in India

Amid the surge of Coronavirus cases, India reported over 2 lakh new COVID-19 cases and more than 1,100 deaths in the last 24 hours, according to the Union Health Ministry.

The health ministry stated that, in the last 24 hours, 1,185 COVID-related deaths were reported in the country taking the death toll to 1,74,308. With new, 2,17,353 COVID-19 cases, the totally tally has risen to 1,42,91,917 across the country.

The cumulative number of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in the country stands at 11,72,23,509 till today.

In the National Capital of New Delhi, which is seeing a massive surge of covid 9 cases, as many as 16,699 new COVID-19 cases and 112 related deaths were reported in the last 2 hours.

Maharashtra continued to report grim COVID-19 figures on Thursday with 61,695 new COVID-19 cases and 349 deaths in the last 24 hours.
